Can I update the Measurement-PC client (CCD) via a Remote Bridge session? | Update is not supported. We already had customer issues where the update failed, because the uninstaller removes the old Measurement-PC client (CCD) and therefore the RemoteBridge session will be closed. Sometimes the uninstaller of Measurement-PC client (CCD) get stuck because the software is still running in the background and cannot be uninstalled. If this happens, you have to stop the service manually, delete all folders and start the installation again. |
How often is the Connected Devices access token generated? | The Access Token will be generated on every start of the Connected Devices main service on the device and is valid for 12 hours |
Which clients and operating systems are supported? | In general every Windows 10 client is supported. Exceptions are clients with restricted Firewall settings. For example the upcoming "Bosch Windows 10 Internet Client" which allows you to work with your private computer will be restricted to not allow Remote-Connections. We are looking forward on that topic to find a solution together with the publisher departments of "Bosch Windows 10 Internet Client". |
What is the Security Level (SL) of Connected Devices? | Security Level for Connected Devices is SC2 (Security Class 2). |
How much space is available for files on our supported devices? | BEG IoT Gateway - 10GB, RCU - 1GB, Flea 4 - 500MB |
What is the maximum upload/download size from Measurement-PC to PANTARIS? | File Management allowes max. 10GB per file - Limited by PANTARIS. For Connected Devices Client version 7.0.0 and above, the gateway restrictions do not apply and up to 10GB per file is supported. For earlier versions, the restriction is as follows - BEG IoT Gateway - 5GB(max), 1GB(recommended configuration), RCU - 1 GB(max), 800MB(recommended configuration), Flea 4 - 500 MB(max), 400MB(recommended configuration). |
What is the maximum speed that a BEG IoT Gateway can reach for upload/download? | Technology-wise upload is 50mBit/s, download 150mBit/s. Technically half of those values are reachable. The performance in the field varies depending on the network quality. |
Can I buy or lease an BEG IoT Gateway? | Yes, you can purchase or rent the complete service including Hardware. |
Does the BEG IoT Gateway support 5G? | First tests have been performed. For further details please contact our sales info-digitalsolutions@bosch.com |
How to move an connected device (equipment) from one project to another? | The device needs to be removed (offboarded) at Connected Devices page and onboarded the other project. Please follow these steps: 1. Remove the equipment in https://devices.pantaris.io 2. Delete the equipment in your project 3. Onboard the device and create the new equipment on https://devices.pantaris.io. For more details about onboarding please look at our user manual |
Can I have more BEG IoT Gateways in one Project? | Yes. You can also connect multiple devices within one vehicle. But it is more efficient to combine the functions within one gateway in the vehicle. You can also connect up to 255 Measurement-PCs / ES820 to one gateway in a vehicle via a switch. |

Which device can I use with and BEG IoT Gateway? | You can connect all supported devices to any Windows PC running you want. You have to install the Connected Devices Client on this PC: (https://devices.pantaris.io/#/installer). Further more you can use the ETAS ES820 – Drive Recorder Module (based on a Windows embedded OS) too: (https://www.etas.com/en/products/es820_drive-recorder-module.php) |
What happens, if the power supply of a connected device is turned off during an upload via File Sync - Remote Bridge? | The device will stop the upload process and resume the upload after it gets powered up again and an connection to is established again. |
Can I use my own SIM card / data plan for the connected device? | All devices has to be opened and/or configured manually for that change. We do not support "own SIM cards" at the moment. |
Can I change the data plan if I need more / less data transfer per month? | Data plan can be changed, please get in contact with our team info-digitalsolutions@bosch.com |
What must be software version of ES820 to support Remote Bridge? | The ES820 must be on a software version higher than or equal to 7.3.7 to support Remote Bridge. |
I cannot use Windows keyboard shortcuts in the Remote Bridge session? | When the Remote Bridge sessions is losing focus while holding down a key. This might lead to strange behaviors inside of the Remote Bridge session. To solve the issue, just step back into Remote Bridge and press the key again. |

Is onboarding of multiple devices at the same time possible? | Yes, you can onboard multiple devices at the same time at Connected Devices page (https://devices.pantaris.io). |
What happens if I onboard a device twice? | Onboarding a device twice is not possible by design. However, you can remove the currently onboarded device from Connected Devices page (https://devices.pantaris.io) using the remove button. Once you have removed the device, you can onboard the device again. |
Can I do anything with a non-onboarded device? | No, the device does not work with in that case. |
In some circumstances the status data returned by the device shows "Error: Measurement-PC not connected". This might be a misleading information if you are able to create a connection to your Measurement-PC via Remote Bridge.
In case of an error in your connection try, it might not display your devices list again. Solution: Please refresh via F5 the whole frontend page of Remote Bridge.
