Onboarding Devices

In order to create and onboard the Device in PANTARIS you need an existing PANTARIS project and a Vehicle. Make sure those requirements are met.

You can create Equipment automatically via Connected Devices "Onboarding" process.

  1. Start the Connected Devices Application in the PANTARIS app store or use the following link: https://devices.pantaris.io

  2. Fill in the "Onboarding ID" from your Gateway Identifier and click on "Onboard device". You can choose between these options:

BEG IoT Gateway : MAC Address

RCU : IMEI Number

Flea4 : Serial Number starting with 718784xxxxx

Onboard Device

  1. To onboard the device, select the respective equipment and the desired PANTARIS project. Select "Create new equipment" in the Equipment section and provide a not yet existing Equipment Name.

  2. If you already have the right vehicle available, you can connect it directly. If you already know the required IP address, you can enter it in the IP address field, else leave it as default.

  3. To start the onboarding click on "Start onboarding". You will receive a notification that the process started.

If you have not linked the equipment before you can install it to your vehicle. Go to the vehicle section in PANTARIS and install the equipment by clicking the "Install equipment" Button.

Install Equipment

You can perform several functions in connected device management.

Ping your Device: Select the device using the radio button and press the "Ping" button of an online device to ping that specific device. The 'Last Online' field is updated with the pong time if the device is online

Download Device System Log: Select the device and click on the Log button to download the device log. After you click it, you will get a browser dialog to download the log. Save the log to your computer.

Remove your Device: Removing a device from the Database (causes restart of the device if the device is online). If everything went well, you will get a notification banner at the bottom of the page.

Filtering the Devices: The devices in the device table can be filtered based on projects or equipment types by clicking the filter button and using the dropdown

Enable Support Access: Select the device and click on the Enable Support button to enable support access. After you click it, the 'Support Access’ field is updated with a duration along with a port number. Before filing bug or any queries, enable support access and mention the port number.
